Greek Building Created in cinema 4d v6 as a study on realistic sunlight.
This image is built up of regular polygon objects and boolean objects used along with the array tool.
By no means a finished image it would be good to carry on with this image sometime soon.
I needed to learn how to model a character and although this is fairly crude in some areas. I dont think it's too shabby for a first attempt.
A lot of thanks goes out to Psionic for his excellent tutorials on 3d character modelling - big thumbs up ! www.psionic3d.co.uk
Architectural Modelling
Back to the C4D Portal Challenges, this one was to create a building. I choose to model a sports stadium. The design was influenced by the Millenium Dome(london) and various existing football stadiums.
First 3D Image
This image was created in about 20 minutes way back in 2002 and still catches my imagination when I see it now.
It gives me an under water / spacecraft / total abyss kind of feeling.
The simple but effective lighting adds to the depth and errieness
of the scene.
Metallic Cloth
This technique was developed by to many to mention as horizontal lines. All thats different here is that vertical and horizontal lines are fused together and then deformed around a text oject to give this rather neat effect of bent metal fabric over text.
I'll post up the methods of creating this image very soon.
A lone fugitive is on the run, desperate to escape his captors at any cost. Search lights scour the undergrowth beneath the canopy of the forest. Run you bugger run . . . .
